Downtown Flagstaff

I used bracket F3 for exposure. Usually the underexposed photo seem more attractive to me. I also prefer warmer color and I set warmer white balance than it should be for most of the time. But the warmer balance actually ruined some of my photos.

This too, is good. I always like streets, paths and the like starting on one side and moving across the vertical center to the othr side, into the distance. The hilltop serves as something of a focal point to which the street takes one's eye -- which stretches the limits on the Rule of Thirds nicely.

And, juxtaposed to the focal point on the lower right, you have the strength of the architcture towering the left vertical.

Shadows are nice and good saturation of color.

I like it. Yes. But it's a bit dark.

The "how people live" images make for good, journalistic photography.
Oy! When I moved the image to a moderate background, other than this 255,255, 255 white page, it didn't sem quite so dark, :-).

    Good street shot, Lily.

This time, the man, on the right vertical of the Rule of Thirds is "moving" out of the frame and the bicycle on the lower left intersection is moving out the other edge. Shadow lines provide an interesting perspective.

IMO, this one is better than the next one (0277). The light here is low enough. You have excellent saturation; skin tone is beautiful. Excellent job with the Rule of thirds, the parallel/converging lines of the brick tapring into the distance. The arm on the wall makes good framing for her face, which is also framed by the black hair.

Beautiful young woman and good portrait.
